The warm welcome and beautifully set tables make you feel at home right away. Lepa Vida Boutique Winery is run by Irena and Matija, the second generation of this family business. Irena’s parents are still actively involved wherever they can. They have 32,000 vines spread over 8 hectares and produce 9 different wines in the most sustainable way possible.
In a 1.5-hour tasting session, Irena will tell you about her family business, the history of their vineyard, the Vipava Valley, and Slovenia. You will taste all the wines, including Zelèn, a grape variety that only grows here in the valley. This will be accompanied by delicious homemade local snacks, allowing you to immediately taste how the wines pair with the food.
The personal attention and passion they put into their wines is something you can truly taste and feel during the experience. They take plenty of time to introduce each wine and share the stories behind them, while you sit at a table full of delicious food, overlooking the vineyards. A fantastic experience—no matter the season—and an absolute must-visit if you’re in the area!
