Restaurant Pri Hrastu, which means "by the oak tree," serves local dishes and is open year-round. The menu is extensive and varied, ranging from Slovenian specialties to more Mediterranean dishes. Always supplemented with seasonal dishes and local products. They serve asparagus in spring, wild mushrooms in autumn, and in winter, they enjoy cooking with locally grown radicchio, Goriški radič. Open every day, good service and delicious food.
We have eaten at Pri Hrastu several times and every time it has been good. There is plenty of choice and especially the seasonal dishes will keep you coming back. Especially during the summer, some restaurants can be closed because they go on vacation. Pri Hrastu is open every day of the year, including lunch. They have a terrace that is well shielded from the road. Don't expect a view, but in the warmer months, the large terrace offers lovely shade.
